There's no place else on Earth...Quite like New York...

It's a sad day on my blog knowing this is my last new Whimsical Polish to show you.
I've done gone and swatched the entire new collection and it's bittersweet. For you anyway! I plan on rocking Super Hero for our Labor Day BBQ this weekend and making everyone want it!
I've also just noticed that this is my 300th post on the blog - so yay for that too!

Let's get this road show headed to NY - I HEART NY!!

I Heart NY gets the coveted Domo Stamp of Approval. DOMO LIKE!

I've layered I Heart NY over BB Couture Briquette, which I showed in my previous post. I found it to be an excellent set of panties for this polish - it reminded me of the miles and miles of asphalt in New York from the streets to the sidewalks to all of the buildings and the general grey-ness that is New York City - but with a little bit of sparkle.

This polish is a top coating polish - one you must layer over another. It is Pam's first one and she hit out of Yankee Stadium if you ask me. Created after the famous I LOVE NEW YORK t-shirts you can find the world over, it's got black microglitter, black and white hex glitters and red heart glitters all in a clear base.

As you can see, the white hex glitters are the dominant ones here, followed by the black microglitters and hexes and then the red hearts. The hearts weren't TOO eager to come out but a quick dip in the bottle could usually produce one or two of them.

Here you see 1 coat of I Heart NY over Briquette and followed by a coat of Gelous and a coat of Top Coat.

As always - Pam's creations look equally amazing when placed under a nice matte top coat. How perfect is this!?

Good stuff...

Whew. Out with a bang. This polish is top notch. Pam's first Top Coating polish. The kind you HAVE to layer over something. And she did it up right!
Always thinking up the perfect combinations of shapes and sizes and colors..she has really good sense and as always, perfect formulas. Great customer service...I've dealt with a fair share of the Indie ladies of the world and I gotta say, Pam stands in a class all her own.
Make sure and like the Whimsical Nail Polish By Pam Facebook page to keep up with everything she's got going on, plus it's the only place you can see her full catalog of polishes and get info on ordering. Hope you've enjoyed seeing these as much as I've enjoyed wearing them.

BB Couture - Briquette

I've got a quick swatch post for you, this is what we in the nail community call "underwear" for an upcoming post. That's when I'm layering polishes, and the underwear is the base or bottom layer.
Can you guess what the top layer for this mani is going to be?!
Grey is supposed to be all the rage for fall, and I can see why after putting this beauty on.
BB Couture Briquette:

This was 2 coats of Briquette with NO top coat.
Very juicy polish, stunning pigmentation - dark charcoal grey with silver bits of shimmer running through it.
I got mine at Overall Beauty!

Thinking about women and glasses of beer....

The title is actually part of a song.
A song by James Taylor.
A song called Sweet Baby James.

If you are still in the dark, let me turn the lights on as I present to you - Sweet Baby James by Whimsical Nail Polish by Pam.

As always - Whimsical Polishes are packaged to perfection!

A super light baby blue milky base with white, baby blue and barbie pink matte glitters in hex, square and large square sizes.

This is 2 coats plus a slight bit of dabbing here and there to fill in bald spots and 1 coat of top coat.

Here we have Sweet Baby James mattified - how stunning, right!?!?!? I so love it like this the most!

I love the simple diversity of the glitters in this. Those big square pink glitters are awesome.

My thoughts on this polish are mostly good - the polish tended to be on the thicker side. But as weird as it sounds, it was the good kind of thick in that even though it was thick, it wasn't a bubbler.
I used a typical brush on method and dabbed on a 3rd coat in needed places.
I know that someone else (I think it was Captivating Claws) had the same thickness issue and I believe that Pam has already said going forward all bottles of this polish would be thinned down.
The colors are amazing, it is such a soft and delicate polish, I am dying to try it with some soft stamping next time I wear it.
I might suggest using this as a layering polish over a light blue or even a white to cut down on layers, but for 2+ coats I think this looks really great and opaque!

And Introducing....Miss Wohelo!

I was able to grab up the rest of the new Whimsical Nail Polish by Pam Collection last week and get it swatched.
Today I'm presenting to you - Miss Wohelo.
A gorgeous fuchsia pink jelly filled with holographic and purple microglitters and shimmer.

Beautiful bottles, beautiful bows, remarkable formulas. Here is Miss Wohelo!

How JUICY is this polish?!?! This is with NO top coat.

3 easy coats of this polish, no top coat and look at the shine!?

The formula on this polish was perfection. Sometimes I actually thought uh oh I have waaaay too much on the brush  to be hitting my nail with this...but guess what? Nothing bad happened! It was just divine.

There is this sensational purple shimmery glitter running throughout this polish that is very obvious on the nail.  I'm not sure if there is purple AND holo shimmer in this or if the purple is holo or WHAT...but it's a match made in heaven, whatever it is.

Can you believe she is even this stunning when mattified? Well, she is.

LOVE!

This was one of the nicest polishes I've ever worn or applied.
Guh...it seems like Pam's formulas just keep getting better and better.
Go check out her new collection, as well as her older polishes, they are all amazing and I know she's pausing production on a few of them so go try and get them before it's too late!!
